Service Manager (Datacentre or Networking) - Luxembourg

Languages: ENGLISH only

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor degree in computer science or related subject.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the IT Infrastructure, Network and Unified Communication (enterprise instant messaging, video and audio conferencing, fixed telephony) services area and within Data Centre services area.
  • Experience and knowledge of designing and troubleshooting IT infrastructure issues.
  • Experience and knowledge of Network and Unified Communication related technologies (network wired and wireless, fixed telephony, enterprise instant messaging, audio and video conferencing, data lines, and Internet access).
  • Experience and knowledge of Data Centre related technologies (compute, operating systems, virtualisation, backup and recovery, storage and database management).
  • Knowledge of procurement and service contracts, including procuring software, hardware and services .
  • Knowledge of web application architectures.

Description of work:

  • Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the Software Defined Data Centre (SDDC).
  • Working with IT Security consultants with hardware and software (related to network and unified communication services) vulnerabilities, keeping up-to-date on key vulnerabilities and risks, and addressing these with management if necessary.
  • Supervise and manage consultants, which operate and maintain the network (wired and wireless), fixed telephony, enterprise instant messaging (Skype for Business), audio and video conferencing, data lines, and Internet access as well as consultants which work on maintaining data rooms, the server operating systems, the databases, the virtualisation platforms, the backup and recovery.
  • Responsible for keeping the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) up-to-date for Configuration Items (Cis).
  • Evaluation of new software and technologies.
  • Resolve incidents.
  • Creating the terms for new framework contracts in the scope of Network and Unified Communication Services, Data Centre and database services.
