Lead, IT Business Analyst to be based in either Jacksonville, FL or Santa Ana,
CA.

patients a day across 103 countries with its eye health portfolio.
We are looking for a Business
Analyst to complement our Commercial Data & Analytics team. The role will
enable you to apply your broad knowledge of analytics products and solutions
across a variety of structured and unstructured data sources, while
collaborating closely with and influencing others in an ambiguous and dynamic
environment. Your main focus will be to connect, lead, shape, and deliver new
analytics insights to address business challenges, drive business growth, and
improve consumer and customer outcomes.
Responsibilities:
  • Utilizes effective data analyst techniques to drive
    data, analytics and technology value by translating business information
    & insights needs into data & technology specifications.
  • Partners with data architects, data engineers and other
    resources to develop and deliver high-value analytics products &
    solutions. Drives agile methodology.
  • Works with business product owners to define data
    relevant backlogs, deliver User Stories for data management, data
    integration, and data interpretation.
  • Performs source data analysis, data discovery,
    collaborates with business and peer teams to synthesize the business rules
    required for data acquisition and creation of information with context
    association
  • Identifies and Delivers process improvement
    opportunities.
  • Explains to business how requirements may be
    implemented from a functional standpoint.
  • Understands development estimates and articulates
    various levels of effort required to address the changing priorities and
    requirements in a dynamic environment.
  • Tracks progress of product development and reports to
    the IT and business partners on delivery status
  • Maps out complex business processes to serve as
    reference for development of solutions and advocates for business process
    simplification where appropriate to deliver robust and cost-effective
    solutions.
  • Coordinates progress of data discovery and co-ordinates
    work streams, activities and initiatives across Product Lines as needed.
  • Ensures compliance requirements are met, leads
    documentation activities and participates in compliance activities as
    required
  • Ensures successful business product owner engagement an
  • Provides technology leadership and data domain
    expertise to drive adaption of self-service analytics models and
    solutions.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of a Bachelor s degree is required, an
    advanced degree is preferred
  • A minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience is
    required.
  • Business Analytics Information Systems/Computer
    systems background is required
  • Experience working in Agile methodology and product
    management lifecycle; ability to craft user stories, manage backlogs, and
    define and implement prototypes and MVP s is required.
  • Strong business sense and ability to work with business
    partners to translate business needs into relevant solutions is required.
  • Excellent data profiling & curation skills are
    required.
  • Ability to acquire and interpret data from various
    sources, understand & propose data integration logic is required.
  • Ability to propose solutions to various challenges with
    data: different granularity, data gaps, complex matching logic,
    multi-language, structured & unstructured; harmonization &
    normalization of data is required.
  • Experience with relevant tools & platforms (AWS:
    EC2, S3, Redshift/RDS; ETL/ELT; Tableau) is required.
  • Understanding of machine learning and/or AI principles
    in data engineering: data profiling, intelligent alerts, data
    interpretation & curation is preferred.
  • Experience working with shared Application Services
    teams is preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time may be required
