Resource 1 is in need of a Sr. Data Warehouse Developer (SSIS) for a position in Chicago, IL. Client is open to a 6-month contract with extensions or a 6-month contract-for-hire. Client will also allow working from home up to 2 days a week after candidate has been there a couple months. Selected individual will join a team responsible for the development, maintenance and execution of extraction, transformation and load (ETL) routines for importing data from heterogeneous data sources into the data warehouse using MS SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS). Individual should have at least 10 years of data warehouse/SSIS experience. This is a very large (40 TB of data), complex, HA (Highly Available) environment that includes SQL Server 2016 databases and clustered columnstore indexing (CCI). Must have experience designing, developing, enhancing and troubleshooting SSIS packages. Should also be knowledgeable in designing and implementing database schemas using Kimball/Inmon methodologies. Strong T-SQL development/tuning experience is required. Individual will work with business SMEs and Data Architects to design and implement 3NF and dimensional data models. May also be asked to help define and implement standards and practices for data warehousing initiatives throughout the company. Selected individual should understand data normalization and denormalization rules, as well as other techniques to support reporting and analytics.

Technical Environment: MS SQL Server, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), T-SQL, Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), Database Objects, Dimensional Data Models, Kimball/Inmon, Database Schemas & Columnstore Indexes.
