Job Description

We have an immediate need for an Office Engineer/Project Engineer to support the 15 yr. $6.4 billion JV project, currently underway at the Hartsfield-Jackson Airport. This position would be supporting the division that will be expanding parking lots at the airport as well as other projects as required. This position requires someone who lives within commuting distance (relocation assistance may be offered based on experience).

REQUIREMENTS

  • BA/BS in Engineering or Construction Management
  • Five years' experience in the administration of office and document processing for a construction contract. Civil Field Project experience preferred and previous construction experience on airport projects a plus.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations -- interpersonal skills and leadership skills
  • Advanced knowledge of all Microsoft Suites specifically Word, Excel, Access and Outlook
  • Working knowledge of PMWEB, Primavera (P6), and Welcom Cobra
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and contract
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Must be Eligible to work in the US for any employer

RESPONSIBILITES

  • Assist in reviewing and processing contractor progress payments.
  • Receive, log, review, distribute, and return shop drawings, submittals and Request for Information (RFI).
  • Receive, log, review, and distribute correspondence
  • Scribe, review, and finalize minutes from weekly progress meetings.
  • Work closely with the Assistant Resident Engineer and/or the Resident Engineer to ensure items are resolved
  • Assist in managing Resident Engineer staff as well as office operations.
  • Implement and manage a Document Control System
  • Assist in the preparation of Monthly Reports
  • Assist in tracking and correcting non-conforming work.
  • Assist in processing change orders, claims, and revisions to the contractual schedule and budget
  • Report findings of anomalies in process and procedures to applicable Resident Engineer or Assistant Resident Engineer
  • Maintain an operating awareness of all contract issues and project participants.
