Facilities Mechanical Engineer

Key Role:
Provide engineering review, coordination, and oversight for operations, maintenance, repair, and construction work and oversee and coordinate activities with trade shops, including prioritizing work, reviewing ongoing projects, inspecting installed equipment, and overseeing and coordinating work orders, service orders, and projects. Coordinate the energy program and analyze utility costs, manage project design or construction efforts, including schedule, funding, and day-to-day project oversight, manage and evaluate construction contractor performance, integrate and coordinate projects with field personnel, evaluate, validate, and manage project change requests, and provide official weekly project stat us reports. Prepare and distribute project communication with c us tomers, management, integrated project teams, and stakeholders. Assist the client's contracting officer (CO) and contracting officer's te chn ical representative (COTR) with acquisition planning, execution, and administration, assist the CO and COTR with conducting pre-bid and pre-construction site visits with the COTR, provide invoice supporting information to the COTR for payment, and provide analytical support for project schedules and budget s, provide te chn ical guidance and assistance on contracting and construction issues, direct design efforts, recommend construction documents for approval, and oversee any follow-on maintenance programs. Optimize performance, cost, and schedule by ensuring project objectives are achieved on schedule and at the lowest cost compatible with us er requirements. Ensure timely input of all data, comments, and documentation into MAXIMO sof tware project management tool. Ensure the integration of all systems, including information te chn ology, telephone, security, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing.

Basic Qualifications:
-7 years of experience with mechanical engineering
-2 years of experience with high voltage power, mechanical systems, fire protection, and construction
-TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
-HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

-Professional Engineer (PE) registration preferred
