You will be working for one of the leading utility companies in Wales.
Your new role

  • You will have primary responsibility for operation and maintenance of sludge screening, sludge imports, centrifuges, odour control, Cambi process, water treatment, steam boilers, CHP plant, digestion process, return liquors, thermally hydrolysed sludge dewatering and sludge export.

  • As a Technical Operator, you will be expected to work 16 shifts per month organised and arranged by your line manager. Shifts will comprise of 12 hours days or nights; you will also be required to cover or support at one of the other Advanced Digestion sites.

What you'll need to succeed
  • Successful applicants must hold a full UK driving licence, this will be subject to a DVLA check and applicants must also pass a basic DBS check.
  • Demonstrate the ability to offer technical expertise, contribute to discussions, improve others' awareness who may have generalised but less process specific knowledge
  • A mechanical aptitude is essential for this role in order to deliver first line maintenance and offer support to the MEI team.
  • Previous experience of working in the waste water business would be desirable.
