SharePoint Technical Project Manager - Media - London (Contract)

Location: London Country: UK Rate: £550.00 - £650.00 per day

Our client, a leading global publishing company is currently seeking a SharePoint Technical Project Manager based in London (FLEX REMOTE/OFFICE 2-3 days per week) working within the Digital Services team.

You will have key role to play in the team to support clients throughout the project implementation and software development lifecycle. Responsible for facilitating requirements analysis and design, baselining project plans, keeping the client informed of project progress, tracking and communicating financial status, ensuring timeline schedule, managing change, mitigating risk, and working with the client to facilitate on time, on budget project deliveries.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage, and execute SharePoint projects from Proof of Concept, Pilot and Project from start to finish
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, goals, and deliverables
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans
  • Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to ensure successful project delivery
  • Ensure that SharePoint solutions meet business requirements and are delivered to the highest quality standards
  • Ensure file server cut off date to avoid numerous delta migrations.
  • Provide regular project status updates to stakeholders
  • Manage project risks and issues
  • Measure and monitor the migration progress.

Key Skills/Knowledge Required

  • At least 10 years of experience in agile project management, adoption, with a strong focus on delivering multiple SharePoint projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated technical performance in related SharePoint and SharePoint Online dealing with SharePoint 2007, 2013, 2016, 2019 and Microsoft Office 365 architecture, SharePoint administration, information architecture, taxonomies, SharePoint governance, and Security.
  • 3 to 5 years architectural experience with SharePoint (2013, 2016, 2019, SPO)
  • Experience in at least one major migration of an organization to a Cloud environment; two or more preferred
  • Proven ability designing and implementing client-specific information architectures based on industry best-practices
  • Ability to design and lead clients towards efficient and well-governed collaboration methods within the platform
  • Experience with Cloud environments
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic agile environment delivering on premise, file shares, data centres, network shares to SharePoint Online a MUST.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work successfully with a wide range of stakeholders and teams.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
