Lead Developer - R, Shiny, Insurance, Pricing Models£Market Rate (Inside IR35)London/Hybrid (2 days per week in London)

My client is a forward thinking Insurer who require a Lead Developer with proven expertise in R and Shiny Programming, a collaborative approach to work and experience of mentoring/leading/coaching colleagues to join a business critical Project at a crucial stage.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience as Lead Developer, with expertise in R and Shiny Programming
• Strong Understanding of Microservices Architecture and interlinking APIs
• Good understanding of Excel, VBA and SQL
• Strong academic profile, with a Degree in Mathematics/Applied Maths/Statistics/Physics/Actuarial Science/Chemistry (or related field)
• Collaborative approach to work, with experience of mentoring/leading/coaching colleagues
• Excellent communication skills

Nice to have:

• Previous Insurance industry experience
• Previous experience of working closely with Actuarial Teams
• Familiarity with Pricing Models
• Awareness of GIT best practices
• Python coding skills
• Immediate availability
