Company Introduction
We have an exciting opportunity now available with one of our sector-leading publishing clients! They are currently looking for a skilled UX Designer to join their team for a three-month contract.

Job Responsibilities/Objectives

1. Gathers, evaluates, and develops a solid understanding of customer use cases
2. Maintains close links with UX Researchers, actively participating in the collection of user feedback and research
3. Can justify design decisions using a user-centered approach
4. Identifies if we are addressing the right problem through a thorough analysis of the brief
5. Collects feedback from users, other designers, and stakeholders
6. Iterates and tests solutions to ensure they address the problem
7. Independently identifies different creative solutions
8. Presents design insights to stakeholders to inform future projects
9. Collaborates with UX Researchers to understand user needs, proactively utilizing insights to establish design principles
10. Works with UX Designers to define the structure and layout of the product, informing design choices
11. Creates original visual design assets
12. Adheres to design patterns and style guides while introducing new ones.

Required Skills/Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following:

1. Possesses an excellent understanding of the organization's tech stack
2. Utilizes design software (Figma) to an expert level
3. Cultivates strong working relationships with tech teams
4. Produces designs across all platforms and devices
5. Good understanding of Front End style coding (CSS, Angular)
6. Confident writing and editing stories in backlogs

Desirable Skills/Experience
Although not essential, the following skills are desired by the client:

1. Demonstrable experience in a professional/B2B working environment
2. Experience working within an agile environment
3. Experience working with OKRs
4. Ability to rapidly iterate wireframes, mocks, and prototypes that meet user needs
5. Ability to scope design initiatives, manage, and prioritize work items
6. Experience with data visualizations and responsive design.
7. Good understanding of HTML and CSS
8. Experience designing products for scale and global markets.
9. Experience working on publishing platforms or news aggregators would be advantageous.
