Maintenance Shift Team Leader-Wakefield FMCG

On behalf of a key client, Hays Engineering is shortlisting for a Maintenance Shift Team Leader to join our client's existing team, leading 4 Technicians/Engineers and driving shift performance for reactive and proactive maintenance across the site. This is a fast-paced manufacturer, with a mix of assets including mechanical, electrical, site services and automation. The newly appointed Maintenance Shift Team Leader will report to the Engineering Manager and assume responsibility for planning, budgets, maintenance schedules, people leadership and development, and much more.
What you'll need to succeed
For your application to be successful, you will be an apprentice trained maintenance engineer with an electrical bias. Experience mentoring and leading a small team is essential and ideally, you'll have exposure to fast-moving, highly automated environments, such as food, beverages, textiles, cosmetics, pharma, packaging and similar.
Additional requirements:

Have extensive experience of maintaining a live manufacturing plant post apprenticeship

Have the correct right to work in the UK without expiry

Have experience working as a Maintenance Engineer in a production environment in the UK

Able to work a Panama shift rota

Work collaboratively with a team of engineers and production professionals

Be continuous improvement focused
