My client a leading digital agency are currently looking to bring on an External Communications Contractor on a 6 month initial basis. This is to work for one of their globally known end clients who are working extensively in the petcare industry.

This role falls INSIDE IR35.

  1. Execute PR and communications plan:
    1. Deliver agreed external and internal communications support - driving earned media in collaboration with PR agency
    2. Manage the social media and online presence (incl. external newsletter, Leap blog)
    3. Drive VL in line with agreed VL strategy for Petcare senior leaders/spokesperson
  1. Execute social strategy:
    1. Manage LinkedIn calendar and editorial plan
    2. Collaborate with divisions on aligning and amplifying their content through LinkedIn
    3. Work with the central social team to amplify stories in channels (planning & executing) - LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, mars.com
    4. Support the management of PLT-hub senior leaders - calendar, posting, reporting

Requirements:

  • University degree, ideally in (but not limited to) communications, public relations, journalism, sociology, social science;
  • Minimum 3-5 years of solid work experience in internal/external communications, social media management and visible leadership is essential;
  • Experience in building and developing integrated communications campaigns;
  • Core understanding and hands-on experience with social media management (strategic planning, content creation, reporting);
  • Good planning and organisation skills and ability to manage fast changing priorities;
  • Ability to build relationships and trust with Associates and key internal and external stakeholders;
  • A collaborative approach with an ability to work across functions, geographies and business divisions;
  • Native/fluent level command of English;
  • Drive for results and action oriented.
