Technical Engineer (Permanent)

Location: Nottingham Country: UK Rate: £28k - £34k per annum
 

Technical Engineer - CTTV - Nottingham

Onsite 5 days per week

Salary - £28,000 - 34,000

Technical Engineer required for a leading client based in Nottingham. We're seeking an Engineer to join our technical support and development team. This multifaceted role includes testing and developing new CCTV, networking, and VMS software products, as well as overseeing helpdesk tickets, offering direct support to customers and internal teams, and crafting technical training materials. The ideal candidate will come from a technical background, ideally within the CCTV, Telematics, or IT sectors, and demonstrate exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.

Key skills,

  • Previous Technical Engineering experience
  • Perform practical testing on CCTV, 4G Routers, and VMS software to detect and rectify issues, while also researching market trends and exploring emerging technologies/products.
  • Assess, develop, and maintain Field Service guides to boost initial resolution rates and increase engineer proficiency
  • Previous involvement in a technical capacity, preferably within the electronics or technology sector. While familiarity with CCTV or networking is advantageous, it's not mandatory.
  • Proficiency and experience in the maintenance and installation of Routers, DVRs, CCTV equipment, or related technologies.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for engaging in technical discussions, adept at challenging and probing to achieve optimal results.
  • Exceptional communication skills, encompassing both written and verbal proficiency.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office applications and the capacity to swiftly adapt to new software platforms.
  • Self-driven with the capability to work autonomously, efficiently managing individual workload.
